That's all very well but you have to bear in mind that Liverpool are way more important than us, and therefore their players are more important too.
5 injuries for them is equivalent to at least 10 for us.
So his whine is fully justified and he deserves all our sympathy.

Pellegrini said today that Lanzini could be back in 2 weeks(!)
Balbuena soon, but Reid, Sanchez and Yarmolenko will not play again this season- and Wilshere may very well not, either.

I went to the training ground today. Good atmosphere. Great to see Fabian Balbuena, Manuel Lanzini, Carlos Sanchez and Andriy Yarmolenko all coming back from long term injuries. David Gold

So the updated list for the Liverpool game was: Balbuena Wilshere Yarmolenko Sanchez Reid Lanzini Nasri Arnautovic Silva
9 While Klopp whined about 5 players including 3 from the back four who wouldn’t all have played.

Really need to get a top team in who know about players injuries. I think most of our players have brittle bones.

That list has actually grown since the thread was originally posted. It's just ridiculous.
Although we all know Liverpool have a worse injury list, as we were told on Monday night

So Balbuena now apparently needs an operation. How come it's taken this long for that to be discovered?

There is only one common denominator and that is the club. Granted a few of our signings were crocks but we mostly sign players with no previous history of being injury prone who then become injury prone. It has be the training facilities.

Carroll? Arnie?
Some teams seem to get by with little or no injuries season after season

Pretty sure Reid wasn't when we bought him. Whether he was when we gave him a long contract? Hindsight and all.

Reid wasn't known as injury prone when we bought him, but he did get a contract extention after several lay off due to injury.
Carrol and Wilshere were the ones who already had an injury prone rep. when we bought them; Carrol, of course, was injured when we signed him. D'OH!
Yarmolenko had a few issues in the last year ot two before we bought him. Beware, because so did Anderson.
The rest, we've been unlucky. Lanzini is the biggest miss. I really hope he comes back teh same player, but I fear for him. I was watching all goals from 2018 with the kids last night, andwatching him tuck away his goals, I could only dream of him, fully fit, playing in Pellegrini's West Ham. It's torture.
Get well soon, Manu.
